Marquise

Like the emerald, the marquise is a traditional shape. This is probably the fourth most popular shape behind the round, princess and oval. This shape has a boat shaped girdle with 57 facets. The shape placement of the facet is of brilliant type. The center stone is set parallel to finger and is frequently enhanced with small accent stones along either sides. Its standard ratio for this diamond to get a proper shape is 1:2, it really looks elegant when nicely faceted and polished, and the glittering shines with extra gleaming.
